So, I didn't need this extra, random door in my house anymore. It is big, heavy and old. And now it's housing some of my more frequently worn jewelry.

Back in the ATL
I finally had the opportunity to escape the oppressive heat, humidity and general discomfort of Savannah this weekend. I spent a glorious 32 hours in the home of my heart, Atlanta. I saw people that matter and had crazy, important conversations that ended in nothing but confusion. But that's ok- because I felt at home in a big way. Is it wrong to miss the traffic and reckless drivers? I think not. I also think it's a damn shame that Savannah can't produce a mojito to rival the creme de la creme in Atlanta. We are, after all, a serious drinking town down here.
Dangerous drivers and excellent mojitos aside, I also got to see some incredible derby action. I love, LOVE LOVE, my Savannah Derby Devils. But Atlanta is just competing on a whole different level and I was blown away. I'm intensely looking forward to going back for the championships September 10th. Be still my heart. And go on to facespacey and follow the Atlanta Roller Girls AND the Savannah Derby Devils.
Side note: the theme of the day is resolution. Think on that.
